Welcome to the 4th Quarter of the 2025-2026 School Year!
We kicked off the 4th Quarter with Field Day today. Thank you so much to our staff members and volunteers who made this event such a success! Thank you to teachers who help organize their classes. Thank you parents who came out and supported all our students. A special thank you to our coaches - Coach Morand and Coach Torres - for planning such a great event. PTA also treated our students to popsicles after their hard work. Thank you PTA!
4th Quarter Academic Update: we have so much still to cover in class with your students. Please ensure everyone is here on time and ready to learn. We also will be scheduling our state end of year testing for grades K-5. Please stay tuned for that information in the upcoming weeks. 4th and 5th Grade starts our testing season off next week with their BEST Writes Tests and we know they are going to do awesome!
Attendance and Tardies - it is about that time of year when we see an uptick in absences and tardies. If your child is absent due to illness or a doctor's appointment, you can submit a note online or to your child's teacher to excuse that absence.
In addition, more and more students are arriving late to school and going home early. Our teachers instruct on a schedule from the beginning of the day to the end. Students arriving late to school and/or going home early consistently are missing vital instructional minutes, often in the same subject which can create an academic gap in learning. We appreciate that this could require a change in family schedules and routines and we appreciate your partnership. Thank you for supporting your child's education at BLES!
