Welcome Back Bear Lake Elementary Banner
Dear Families,

Our school is set, the team is ready, and it's time to kick off another outstanding school year at Bear Lake Elementary! We are excited to welcome you and your child back for the 2026-2027 school year as we embrace our sports theme: "Bring Your A Game!"

At Bear Lake, we know that success comes from preparation, teamwork, determination, and giving our best effort every day. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or throughout our school community, we encourage every student to bring their "A" game by demonstrating a positive attitude, active engagement, and academic excellence.

And speaking of bringing our A game—thanks to the hard work of our students, staff, and families, Bear Lake Elementary proudly continues its tradition as an "A" rated school, in an A rated district! Together, we'll work hard to protect that title and make this our best season yet.

🛡️ Safety is Our First Play
Your child's safety is our top priority. From the opening bell to the final whistle each day, we are committed to providing a secure, supportive environment where every student feels valued, respected, and ready to succeed. When students feel safe, they have the confidence to take risks, learn, and grow.

🎯 Academic Excellence is Our Game Plan
Our all-star team of educators is prepared to help every student achieve success this year. While we understand that students and families may have preferences for specific teachers, creating class rosters is much like building a championship team. Many factors are carefully considered to ensure balanced classrooms and the best possible learning experience for all students, while also complying with state class-size requirements.

Please ensure you have access to Skyward and ParentSquare. ParentSquare is our communication App and Skyward is our Gradebook. Both of these applications will keep you plugged into our school and your child's progress throughout the year.

Thank you for trusting us with your child's education. When we work together as a team, there's no limit to what our Bears can accomplish. Here’s to another championship season of learning, growth, and success!

First Days of School Information & Reminders

The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for students, families, and teachers.

Parents may walk their child directly to class on the first day of school only. Also, we also ask that families wait until after September 4 to join students for lunch so that we can establish routines, procedures, and help students build friendships with classmates.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during arrival and dismissal the first few weeks of school. Not only do we often have afternoon thunderstorms that can delay dismissal, we also have children that are still learning the routines for getting out of the car in the morning as well as getting into the car in the afternoon. Parents are also learning the car line and navigating the different routes.

Please consider leaving the house earlier in the morning to provide your family additional time to navigate the car line. We will begin unloading cars and welcoming students at 8:05AM.

Any and all transportation changes need to be made through a phone call with the front office before 2:00PM in order to allow communication between the front office and the teacher/your child(ren). If you plan on checking out your student early, please arrive to the front office before 2:30PM.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedure Reminders

Morning Drop Off begins at 8:05AM - there is no student supervision before this time. For their safety, please wait until 8:05AM to drop students off.

Parents, please be alert on the car line in order to help keep our students and staff safe.

Please see the CAR LINE MAP (also below) for information about the 2 car lines for arrival and dismissal.

Follow staff directions and stay off your cell phones.

Stay in your car while in car line.

Do not park in the parking spots and walk through the car line to drop off or pick up your child.

Pull all the way up the ramp when it is your turn in order to make enough room for all cars. Do not leave empty space between cars. For safety, your car will not be filled until it is where staff directed it.

There is no parking in the primary line handicapped parking spaces unless you are a PreK ESE parent or have been directed to do so by a staff member.

And finally, please work with your children on how to buckle/unbuckle themselves so they can get out the car without assistance and get themselves in and safe for the car ride home.
